Policy Information & Guidance
The Policy Committee makes recommendations to the Expanded Learning Division to clarify existing policies or create recommendations for policy change. The recommendations are first vetted by the System of Support for Expanded Learning, including the Expanded Learning Division staff and County Office of Education Leads, before going to the Division Director for final approval.
Guidance
The Policy Committee has worked to create new guidance based on expressed field need and revise current guidance to clarify emerging issues within the guidance or add in additional resources.
FAQ's
Revision of frequently asked questions is an on-going process. The Policy Committee has worked to revise the FAQ’s to: 1) ensure alignment to education code 2) incorporate promising practices 3) correct errors and 4) incorporate emerging issues. Most recently, the Policy Committee has worked to create additional FAQ’s on specific areas that were surfaced as needing more clarity, including: 85/15, AB2615/AB1567, and summer.
