EXLD will work with the field to clarify or develop policies and guidelines for Expanded Learning programs. EXLD will review and revise its grant funding processes to ensure equity in grant award distribution. EXLD will engage the field in ongoing review and improvement of the After School Education & Safety Program (ASES) and 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) grant award processes to improve efficiency and impact.* EXLD will also consult with the field to improve grant data systems, program evaluations, and grant making procedures.

Initiative Purpose: Develop and maintain clearly defined guidelines, program requirements, and processes supporting efficient program administration.

* 21st Century Community Learning Centers (21st CCLC) refers to both the elementary and middle school funding program (Community Learning Centers) and the high school After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) program.
